Licence Terms

This agreement is between you (the person or organisation using the software) and Shamaapps, Kumasi, Ghana (“we”, “us”). By installing or using LiveDeck Studio (“the software”) or buying a licence on this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the software.

1. Licence grant

On payment we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software on the number of computers your licence allows (section 2), for your own or your organisation's productions, for as long as you comply with these terms. The licence is perpetual for the major version you bought (4.x) and is not a subscription.

A licence is issued to the name and email address given at checkout. An organisation (for example a church or school) may let its staff and volunteers use the licensed computers; the licence still belongs to the organisation.

2. Activations (seats)

• Each licence includes a fixed number of activations shown at purchase: 2 for a single-platform licence and 4 for the Mac + Windows bundle, unless your order says otherwise.
• One activation covers one computer. Activating the same computer again does not use another seat. You may deactivate a computer in the software or at Find my licence to free its seat.
• A single-platform licence activates only on that platform. The bundle activates on Mac or Windows in any combination.
• Activation requires an internet connection; afterwards the software revalidates quietly about once every 30 days. If validation fails for an extended period, the software returns to trial mode until it can revalidate.
• We may reset activations at our discretion if a computer has been lost, stolen or replaced.

3. Trial

The software may be used free of charge for 14 days from first launch on a computer for evaluation. All features are available during the trial. When it ends, the software stops producing output until a licence is activated; your files and settings are kept. Circumventing the trial timer is not permitted.

4. Restrictions

You may not:

• resell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense or transfer the software or a licence key, or offer the software as a service to third parties;
• share a licence key publicly or use one key across more organisations than it was bought for;
• copy the software except for a reasonable number of backup copies;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, or remove or defeat its licensing, except where the law expressly permits;
• remove copyright or trademark notices;
• use the software to break the law, including broadcasting content you do not have the right to broadcast.

5. Ownership

The software is licensed, not sold. Shamaapps and its licensors own all rights in the software. The software includes third-party components under their own licences, including the NDI® SDK (a technology of Vizrt NDI AB), the Zoom Meeting SDK, FFmpeg and open-source libraries whose notices are shown in the About window. Nothing in this agreement gives you rights in the LiveDeck name or logo.

6. Updates and support

• All updates to the same major version (4.x) are included at no charge. We may charge for a future major version and will offer licence holders a discount.
• Updates may add, change or remove features. We recommend testing an update before a live event.
• Support is provided by email in English, normally within two working days, for the current and previous minor version. Support does not include on-site help, custom development or guaranteed response times unless agreed in writing.
• Operating-system support: we support the OS versions listed on the download page and may drop older versions in future updates.

7. Purchase, prices and payment

• Prices are shown in US dollars. Payment is collected in Ghana cedis (GHS) by Paystack at the exchange rate shown at checkout, which includes a small cushion for rate movement and fees. Your bank may apply its own conversion.
• The order is complete, and the licence key is delivered by email and on screen, when Paystack confirms the payment. If a payment is confirmed but no key arrives, use Find my licence or contact us — a key is always issued for a paid order.
• You are responsible for giving a correct email address. Prices may change at any time; the price shown when you pay is the price you pay.
• Where taxes apply to your purchase in your country, they are your responsibility unless shown at checkout.

8. Refunds

Because a free trial is available, we ask you to evaluate the software before buying. Nevertheless:

• You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if the licence has been activated on no more than one computer.
• Email info@shamaapps.com from the purchase email address with your order reference. On refund the licence key is revoked and any activations are removed.
• Refunds are returned by Paystack to the original payment method in GHS. Differences caused by exchange-rate movement or your bank's fees are not refundable.
• After 14 days, or after more than one activation, refunds are at our discretion — for example if a documented defect prevents the software from working on a supported system and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time.

9. Your content and third-party services

You are responsible for the content you produce, record, stream and display with the software, including obtaining licences for songs, Bible translations, images, videos and fonts, and for complying with the terms of streaming platforms, Zoom, NDI® devices and any other services you connect. We do not monitor or store your content (see the privacy policy).

10. Termination

This licence ends automatically if you materially breach these terms — in particular sharing or reselling keys or circumventing licensing — and we may revoke the key. You may end the licence at any time by deleting the software. Sections 5, 9, 11, 12 and 13 survive termination.

11. Warranty disclaimer

Live production is demanding and depends on hardware, networks and third-party services we do not control. The software is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device or service. Always test your setup before an event and keep a backup plan.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shamaapps is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss — including lost recordings, missed broadcasts, lost revenue or donations, or data loss — arising from the use of or inability to use the software. Our total liability for any claim relating to the software or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, without prejudice to consumer rights you may have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.

14. General

• These terms are the entire agreement about the software and replace earlier terms. If a clause is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
• We may update these terms for future purchases and updates; the version in force when you bought applies to that purchase, and material changes will be announced in release notes.
• You may not transfer this agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it to a successor of our business.
• Export laws: you agree to comply with applicable export and sanctions laws when using the software.
